Yahoo Boy sentenced to two years Imprisonment in Nasarawa state

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), revealed that one boy Okoha Chinedu Charles has been convicted and sentenced to two years Imprisonment for fraudulent impersonation by Justice N.I. Afolabi of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa state, on friday, July 22, 2022

The 25 years old who hails from Ebonyi State represented himself as a military personnel serving in Yemen and used a Thai and Spanish language translation app to chat with Thai women with the aim to scam them 

In a tweet, EFCC wrote, "Yahoo Boy bags  2 years jail Term in Nasarawa

Justice N.I. Afolabi of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on friday, July 22,2022, convicted and sentenced one Okoha Chinedu Charles to two years Imprisonment for fraudulent impersonation.

"Chinedu, 25, who hails from Ebonyi State, represented himself as a military personnel serving in Yemen and used a Thai and Spanish language translation app to chat with Thai women with the intent to defraud them.

The EFCC, is a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes such as money laundering and fee fraud
