The president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu on June 12, 2023 signed student law bill which provides interest-free loans to all citizens across the country who desire to further their education in tertiary institution
Tinubu's student law bill is to create an education bank into law in order to provide interest-free loans to Nigerians seeking higher education
Tinubu statement reads: "I was pleased, today, to have signed into law, the Access to Higher Education Act which provides interest-free loans to deserving students across the country who wish to further their education in tertiary institutions
With this Act we shall ensure that every deserving student has access to affordable and quality education, irrespective of their financial background
Bola Tinubu is a Nigerian politician who is the 16th and current president of Nigeria. He was the governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and senator for Lagos West in the Third Republic
