Peter Mbah signs The ₦1.62 trillion Enugu State 2026 Appropriation Bill Into Law

 The Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah has signed the N1.62 trillion 2026 appropriation bill into law 

Peter Mbah made this disclosure via his twitter handle on Thursday 

Peter Mbah statement reads: "I have signed the ₦1.62 trillion Enugu State 2026 Appropriation Bill into law - our Budget of Renewed Momentum. With 80% devoted to capital expenditure, we are redoubling the transformation across every sector.

"This budget is built on inclusivity, accountability, transparency, traceability, and strong institutions, to ensure value for every kobo spent. Education again takes priority, with over 32% allocation, including ₦30 billion for school feeding in our 260 Smart Green Schools.

"Our ₦870 billion IGR target is realisable. We have grown IGR from below ₦30bn in 2023 to over ₦180bn in 2024, and we will end 2025 at ₦400bn. With discipline, creativity, and hard work, we will not only achieve but overshoot ₦800bn in 2026.

"If we stay the course, FAAC will become savings for the future. This vision demands sacrifice. We do not have the luxury of wasting even one day. The weight of expectation is heavy, but we are committed to securing the future of our children.
