The Sokoto State Government has distributed 62 armoured vehicles to security agencies as part of efforts to strengthen security operations across the state
The vehicles were presented to support security personnel in tackling banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities, particularly in vulnerable communities. State officials said the initiative is aimed at improving the operational capacity and response time of security agencies
Governor Ahmad Aliyu disclosed this during the unveiling of the vehicles under the state’s Operation Fight Terrorism initiative. The government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that collaboration with security agencies remains a key priority
The deployment of the armoured vehicles forms part of the state's broader strategy to improve security and restore peace in affected areas
